The dead body of "Mono Contractor", being shot on the chest, was lying on the doorstops of the house. The looking of the man was presumed as such that he had the desire to see the flag of independence; I saw that 10 to 12 neighboring houses were burnt to ashes. At that time the smell of burning and smokes were coming out from there. Some women were seen crying loudly behind the bamboo-clump. I observed that burning, the fire roasted the domestic cows, goats, ducks and hens. The innocent animals were not escaped from their hands; even the burnt ropes holding the shoulders of animals were laid in the ground as like as in the shape of ropes. It seemed it would come again being reactivated. The offences of the Mono contractor and these innocent animals were that 2 to 3 boys of that house joined in the group of freedom fighters. They came home last night. On enquiry I came to know that the boys of the freedom forces really came home that night. But before reaching the Pak army they fled away. How did the news of their arrival reach the Pak army? Certainly the black ships of the villages did that job. With their assistance the Pak beasts had been kilting this way the patriots and Awami league leaders and activists all over the country. With distressed mind I was retuning home on thinking that it was not wise for me to stay here. The Pak collaborators might hand over me to the hands of the Pak army at any time.
With the passage of time, repression and mass killings of the aggressors had been gradually increasing they were setting fires in towns, trading places and villages one after another. They were killing innocent persons. If they could find young students and boys, they caught them and behaved brutally. The women-and children were not getting relief. They were attacking on the prestige of mothers and sisters.

They were killing sons in front of mothers raping daughters in front of parents, reproaching mothers in front of sons, snatching away infants from the lap of the mothers, making lakhs of mothers and sisters widows, making depopulated village after village. In the midst of terrors and repression the Bengalees tried to build up resistance. Wherever the beasts got obstruction, they made the degree of repression to a great extent. Terrorism surmounted everywhere, when the army would enter, whom they would catch and whom they would kill. During that state of terrorism my parent was terribly thinking for me. No. no more I should be here. I fixed that I should quickly go to Agartala and would join freedom force. In that night I spent the night with uncertainty and anxiety without the knowledge of all in the kitchen room of my uncle's house. In the morning I came home and left in disguise for Agartala with a small bundle of required clothes. Before departure I paid salam and begged adieu from the parents. In other ways they were very happy and allowed me to leave. For me they felt very much panicky. Perhaps, they thought that my movements were not satisfactory, what might happen to me at any time, If he stayed here, he would be killed. Therefore it was better that he should do something for the country,
I stepped towards the borders. This was the start of my adventure of sacrifice towards the freedom of motherland. Some way on foot, some way on boat and some way on. foot I proceeded towards Agaratala carefully with some unknown companions. The roads all around were vacant. There was no sign of human movement here and there. How deadly atmosphere was all around! One time I crossed the jungle and reached the railway line. Here I was alone. Then street companion went to another direction. I must reach Agartala. Therefore I had to proceed that way.
I had previous acquaintance with Agartala town. There prevailed severe hot in the noon. I looked at night and left and found no existence of animals. With trembling heart I beg to proceed. We did not know at what time and in what direction the Pak army might attack. With such grief and thinking 1 crossed the border and reached Agartala town at one time.
While crossing the border my heart began to tremble. Without knowledge the tears were coming out from my eyes. Moving back I began to look at the scene of my country. Leaving behind own country I began to feel much trouble. With unconscious mind I took a piece of land of my country and kept it very carefully in the baggage by wrapping in the paper. Paying salam to the earth of the motherland I entered into the' territory of neigh bouring friendly country.
